Hallmark Constructions Brings Holiday Cheer to 2 Homeless Families

Imagine a Christmas with no sparkly lights, no holiday treats and no presents brightly wrapped and waiting under the tree. For many local families this would be a reality if it weren't for the efforts of Family Supportive Housing, Inc. (FSH) with the help of outside businesses, organizations, and individuals, Hallmark Construction participated in their Adopt-A-Family program for Christmas 2008 by adopting two families. Our entire staff got involved in buying clothing, household items and toys on the Christmas wish lists of each family.
FSH is a not-for-profit organization that provides many important services in addition to food and shelter to families in need in the San Jose area, many of whom are working full-time but cannot afford housing. As Patricia Crowder, Executive Director of FSH, said in a letter on their website, 'It is the sparkle in the children’s eyes that makes a difference.' But it also brought joy to our hearts to be able to help such a worthy organization and the community it serves.
