Hallmark Construction honored with CEA President's Safety Award for 2008
Hallmark Construction was recently awarded the coveted President's Safety Award for 2008 from the Construction Employers’ Association (CEA) at their recent 2009 Awards Ceremony in Concord. Hallmark was also honored with the CEA award for the Most Improved Safety Program as well as an Excellence in Safety Award.
As one of 10 recipients of the prestigious President’s award among 100 general contractor members of the CEA, Hallmark must have met the strict criteria of a total incident and lost workday rate of 50% below the industry average, experience modification rating of .70 as well as having a demonstrated comprehensive safety training program in place. Dave Bagley is Hallmark’s Safety Manager responsible for implementing our Safety Program. Hallmark has been proud to be a recipient of CEA safety awards for the past several years.
Job safety is the highest priority to Hallmark. Our safety manager visits our job sites and conducts regularly scheduled safety meetings. In addition, the project superintendent has on-site, weekly safety meetings to brief tradesmen on our safety plan and point out any potential hazards that need to be corrected.
The CEA’s membership comprises unionized contractors performing primarily commercial and industrial work in Northern California totaling over $10 billion in public and private construction volume annually. |
