usgblogoThe world has finite resources. Green architecture transforms conventional, resource intensive design into
resource-efficient, sustainable design. Hallmark Construction can deliver high performance buildings that reduce our
ever-growing consumption of materials and reduce our carbon footprint by being more energy efficient. Building owners and facilities professionals realize that green buildings can provide cleaner and healthier work environments as well as provide long-term cost savings.

Some building owners are formalizing best practices in designing, constructing and operating buildings by obtaining LEED® certification for their buildings that meet the
U.S. Green Building Council’s (USGBC) sustainable standards. Hallmark Construction has been a corporate member of the USGBC since 2004 and we have completed successful LEED® certified projects.

Whether applying for LEED® certification or not, we want to be full partners with designers, building owners and facilities managers and assist them with their goals of better resource and energy efficiency. Hallmark promotes sustainable practices such as recycling demolition waste, controlling storm water runoff during construction, installing ENERGY STAR equipment and lighting and utilizing low volatile organic compounds (VOC) materials. We can also provide reliable cost estimates to assist the team in making informed decisions as the design progresses.
